Court intervenes on Babu Owino-DPP clash over DJ Evolve

Nairobi court on Wednesday 8 June ordered the DPP, DCI and the media to stay away from interfering with DJ Evolve-Babu Owino case which is still ongoing and that which has been a matter of public interest.

The court further mentioned that on August 11, the matter will be reviewed to determine whether DJ Evolve will be able to record a statement. This which came few weeks after Evolve was discharged from the hospital.

Through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta, Babu Owino stated that he was not satisfied with the DPP who was exceeding his limits.

This he did before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochol.

Babu Owino said that DPP was ‘affecting the emotions of the accused person’ when he reportedly incited the residents of Embakasi East and other willing citizens in order to impeach the MP.
