President William Ruto has awarded a university charter to International Leadership University during a ceremony held at State House, Nairobi.
The event was attended by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba and other Ministry of Education officials, alongside the university's leadership.
The award of the charter formally recognises the institution as a university within Kenya's higher education system.
The process of granting university charters is governed by the Universities Act, which provides the legal framework for the establishment, accreditation and recognition of universities in the country.
