Media personality Nana Owiti has broken her silence on the viral rumors linking her former partner, rapper King Kaka, to digital creator Ema Kalekye, emphasizing that both parties deserve the freedom to move forward with their lives.
Speaking during a phone interview with Milele FM presenter Ankali Ray, Nana expressed a mature, supportive stance, stating she would hold no grudges if the dating rumors turned out to be true.
“Life lazima imove on,” Nana stated, reinforcing that staying stuck in the past serves no purpose. “Very [happy for him], kama hiyo ni ukweli si iko sawa, kila mtu lazima asonge hatuwezi shinda mahali pamoja, hivyo ndio maisha iko.”
Nana highlighted the necessity of personal development and emotional maturity following a breakup, encouraging individuals to focus on self-improvement rather than dwell on former relationships.
“Mimi napenda maturity, kila mtu aishi maisha yake vile inafaa,” she shared. “Tumewekwa hapa kila siku you have to be better than yesterday, so maisha lazima isonge.”
Speculation around King Kaka and Ema Kalekye intensified online after the rapper shared a video of the creator listening to his latest love ballad. Online sleuths quickly jumped to conclusions, further fueled by playful social media banter where King Kaka referred to Ema using the pet phrase “Morio wa mine.”
However, Ema moved swiftly to shut down romantic allegations, clarifying that their interaction was strictly professional and centered around music promotion.
“Just to clear the air, I think this is being blown out of proportion. It was simply a song repost, nothing more,” Ema clarified.
King Kaka and Nana Owiti officially ended their relationship in 2024 after several years together. The former couple continues to co-parent their two children.
