The Universities' Academic Staff Union (UASU), Kenya Universities Staff Union (KUSU) and Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA) have called for legislative safeguards to ensure public universities receive adequate government funding to honour negotiated salaries, allowances and other employment obligations.
