Kenya's weather is expected to bring a mixture of rainfall, thunderstorms and high temperatures over the next five days. The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has released a weather forecast covering all 47 counties from Thursday, November 5, to Monday, November 9, 2026.
According to the forecast, several parts of the country are expected to receive rainfall during the five-day period. Some regions may also experience thunderstorms, bringing changes to the weather conditions.
The forecast is important to Kenyans, especially farmers, travellers, business owners and people working outdoors. Residents are encouraged to pay attention to weather updates and prepare for possible changes in their areas.
Farmers may benefit from the expected rainfall, especially those who depend on rain to support crop growth. However, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms could also create challenges in some areas. People living in places likely to receive heavy rain are advised to remain alert and take precautions.
Meanwhile, Turkana County is expected to remain the hottest area in the forecast period. Temperatures are projected to reach a high of 39 degrees Celsius on Sunday, November 8.
Interestingly, Turkana is not expected to receive any rainfall throughout the five days. This means residents will continue experiencing hot and dry weather even as other parts of the country receive rain.
The difference in weather conditions shows how Kenya can experience rainfall in some regions while other areas remain extremely hot and dry.
Motorists and other road users are also encouraged to be careful, particularly in areas expected to experience thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.
Kenyans are advised to follow official updates from Kenya Met throughout the period. The department's forecast will help residents plan their daily activities and prepare for the expected weather conditions.
